Anniversary of the Picasso Museum Málaga – Free Entry Day

Museo Picasso Malaga offers free entry on 27 October each year. This date marks the anniversary of the museum's opening and is one of the busiest days to visit.

What to expect

The museum holds over 200 works by Picasso, spanning early sketches to his later experimental pieces. The collection is housed in the 16th-century Palacio de Buenavista.

Expect queues. Free entry draws large crowds, especially in the morning. Arriving when doors open at 10:00 gives you the best chance of avoiding the worst of it.

Opening hours

The museum opens 10:00 to 19:00 on 27 October. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing.

Practical tips

The courtyard inside the palace is worth a pause. It combines Renaissance architecture with Andalusian light and offers a break between galleries.
