Malaga switches on its Christmas lights on Friday 28 November 2025 at around 18:30. The display runs nightly until 6 January.
The light show
Calle Larios is the centrepiece. Thousands of lights stretch from Plaza de la Constitucion toward the port. A synchronised music and light show plays at 18:30, 20:00, and 22:00 each evening.
The shows are skipped on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
The switch-on event
The first night draws large crowds. People gather early along Calle Larios and the surrounding streets. Street performers, churros stalls, and a festive atmosphere build through the evening.
