My Favorite Booking Platforms

Travel Resources for Spain

These are the platforms I actually use when planning trips across Spain. No fluff, just the booking sites that consistently deliver good prices, reliable service, and hassle-free experiences.

Flights

GOOGLE FLIGHTS

I always start here when searching for flights to Spain. Google Flights makes it easy to find the best deals and compare prices across airlines. The date flexibility feature shows you the cheapest days to fly.

SKYSCANNER

Great for comparing multiple airlines and finding budget options. Skyscanner often catches deals that other search engines miss, and the 'Everywhere' search is perfect when you're flexible on destination.

KIWI.COM

Excellent for booking complex multi-city routes across Europe. Kiwi specializes in combining different airlines to create itineraries that traditional booking sites can't match.

Hotels & Accommodations

BOOKING.COM

My go-to for hotel bookings in Spain. Excellent selection across all price ranges, and most properties offer free cancellation. The filter options make it easy to find exactly what you need.

AIRBNB

Perfect for longer stays or when you want a local apartment experience. Great for families or groups needing kitchen facilities. Spanish apartments often offer better value than hotels for week-long stays.

VRBO

Specializes in whole property rentals, ideal for families or groups. The properties tend to be larger than Airbnb options, and you'll often find unique rural houses and villas across Andalusia.

Activities & Tours

GETYOURGUIDE

My favorite platform for booking tours and activities across Spain. Skip-the-line tickets for major attractions like the Alhambra and Alcázar often sell out, so booking ahead is essential. Excellent cancellation policies.

VIATOR

Great for comparing multiple tour operators and reading detailed reviews. Viator often has exclusive experiences you won't find elsewhere, and their customer service is reliable.

KLOOK

A solid alternative with competitive pricing on activities and attraction tickets. Sometimes offers better deals than other platforms, especially on transportation passes and multi-attraction tickets.

Transportation

RENFE

Spain's national railway. Book direct for high-speed AVE trains between major cities. Tickets are cheaper when booked in advance, and the trains are comfortable and reliable.

OMIO

Compare trains, buses, and flights across Europe in one search. Particularly useful for planning complex multi-city trips or finding the fastest route between smaller towns.

MOOVIT

Essential for navigating local public transport in Spanish cities. Real-time bus, metro, and tram schedules with step-by-step directions. Works perfectly in Málaga, Seville, Granada, and other Andalusian cities.

DISCOVERCARS

Best for comparing car rental prices across all major companies in Spain. Clear pricing with no hidden fees, and excellent customer reviews. Essential for exploring Andalusia's white villages.

ALSA

Spain's largest bus company, connecting cities and towns across Andalusia. Buses are modern and comfortable, often the best option for reaching smaller villages without a car.

GOOGLE MAPS

Reliable for walking directions, public transport routes, and finding local businesses in Spain. Download offline maps before traveling to rural areas where connectivity can be limited.
